270wsm or 25-06
this is going to be just for deer and antelope. I have a 300 win mag and a 300 rum. I got a deal on the rum thats why i have two 300s. Both tend to do alot of damage to meat if i take a quartering shot. I try to limit my shots to around 300 yards and figure both of these bullets will hand that well. Whats going to be the best choice. also will i benfit much with the wsm or would a plain old 270 be just as good.

RE: 270wsm or 25-06
Given what yoy already have, I would for sure go with the 25-06. The 270 WSM is to much of a duplication IMO.

but I like the 270wsm cause I can get the Rem xcr. Does remington offer the 25-06 in a stainless model.

A friend has a tikka t-3 in 25-06 and it shoots several loads better than MOA.A very nice rifle for the money.

RE: 270wsm or 25-06
For deer and antelope, I would buy a 25-06. Especially if I owned a .300 mag already.

RE: 270wsm or 25-06
I'd go for the 25WSSM myself. Sorry just had to say something other than what everyone else already said. I've seen what 270WSMs do to deer, elk, coyotes, as well as the 25-06. Can't go wrong with either one.

RE: 270wsm or 25-06
My son just shot his first deer - a 375 lb. red stag. One shot through the shoulder at 130 yds. with his 25-06. Dropped in his tracks. I'm a believer in the 25.
