Duck the .204 is a FINE lil round no doubt. But in all honesty I can't say that I was able to do anything with it that I couldn't do with my 22/250. Obviously the 22/250 offers MUCH greater selection of ammo and it is much cheaper to shoot. I shot both side by side all the way out too 1k yds (you know there is ALOT of drop and wind drift with 22s at 1k?
) and just didn't feel the .204 offered anything significant over the ol tweenytwo two fitty. Now comparing the .204 too the .223 is another matter. It has it ALLOVER the .223 (other than the ammo selection/price thing obviously).
That bein said, now DON'T get me wrong if you just want another gun for the safe then have at it. Like I said it is a GREAT lil round. But if you are just gonna have one varmint gun I would say go with the 22/250. As far as coyotes they are HIGHLY allergic too either round and that is what each round excells at.
