Its a deer rifle, some use it for Elk, Moose, Bear, whatever. Sorry for the smart a$$ reply but read all of the posts in here, the 270 is a versitile gun that has killed most anything in North America.

Heres a tip if you dont know enough about your caliber.
Buy the book " Cartridges of the world". Its a great book witheasy access to a lot of loads. Frank Barnes was editor in my old edition but I think he has passed away. (My sincere appologies if Im mistaking). Maybe it is a good gift to your uncle for cristmas. Disagree on that one huh!:D |
