Two People and 1 Scope

I could see a very slight difference in impact point but not much. A properly mounted scope should shoot very close to the same impact point regardless of who shoots it.

From what i've seen, some hold there guns tighter, some looser. They put the butt of the gun in different places on the shoulder, and hold there hand on different places on the forearm. The other day, my neighbor was holding so far up the forend he was on the bbl.!!
You already mentioned flinching....
I've even see many folks holding there guns slanted instead of straight up.
Most have never had formal gun training, and have learned a huge amount of "bad" habits...

I would have to lean towards bad shooting habits here. I have seen this before where 4 of us will be at the gun club shooting and one guy shoots a POI completely different than the other 3. Ifa new shooter is shooting an unfamiliar gun the trigger pull/squeeze can be different, and anticipating the recoil is the other newbie mistake. An exagerated version of this can be demonstrated by using a handgun. I attended a handgun seminar at my local range and the Certified trainer there did a funny thing to a guy who had a flinch by handing him an empty gun and watching him flinch even with no round in the chamber. The same can happen to an unfamilar shooter with arifle of substantial recoil.

8" "is" a lot and more than i've seen that i can remember. Between my brothers and my selfthere's a difference of several inches between all of us. My dad and i do shoot to the same POI though.
When i did a lot of scope mounting, i seen it happen quite often.

In our city of 70,000 people we do not have a single store that sells firearms or does gunsmithing.Since I always carry a boresighter and tools in my shooting case,I have mounted dozens of scopes at the range and a few dozen at home. With the exception of a few people that have bad flinches,I have not seen significant differences in point of impact with different people shooting the same rifle.
