BULLET INFO.
HI ALL,
I BOOKED A MOOSE/BEAR HUNT FOR NEXT FALL, I AM PLANNING TO USE MY 338. A SPORTS SHOP WHERE I BUY AMMO HAS A SPECIAL ON 338 250 GRAIN WOODLEIGH WELCORE SOFT POINTS. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THESE IN SOFT POINTS, ARE THEY A GOOD CHOICE FOR MY HUNT (BEING A SOFT-POINT WILL THEY HOLD UP ON MOOSE/BEAR)----ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED I PUT THIS POST ON BIG GAME (NOT SURE IF IT BELONGED THERE)------LOOKING FOR MORE OPINIONS HERE THANK YOU |
RE: BULLET INFO.
I have heard of the Woodleigh bullets, but I'm afraid I have no first hand experience with them.I believe the are more popular overseas and seem to have a reputation for being a very tough bullet for large or dangerous game.If they group well in your rifle,I see no reason not to use them.Sorry I couldn't give you more info. but maybe someone else has used them......good luck!

RE: BULLET INFO.
Same here. I have read nothing but good reports on them but I have never used them either. Most of what I have read concerns thier use on Big Heavy Dangerous animals with good succuess.

RE: BULLET INFO.
These are as good as any of the premium bullets, if your gun shoots them with the accuracy you require. I'd buy a couple of boxes and see how they shoot.
Keep yore powder dry!! |
