i own a mini 14 ranch rifle syn stainless. i do more hunting than targets now, and was wondering what would be a choice to trade it in on. its a 2004 model, under 300 rounds through it, in excelent condition.for you that don't know, it's a .223. i need something with a little more power.

if you are going to trade with a friend it is worth a $500.00 gun. but if you are going to trade at a gun dealer you are only going to get a gun worth $350.00 to $400.00. i think i would look into aremington 700. i believe they are still around 4 or 5 hundred dollars. i love the .308's.

What are you hunting? You have a great gun for coyote at reasonable distances.
You would get about $250 for a Mini 14 trade in in my area.
I think you should try to sell the rifle on the many for sale forums available.
The Perfectunion forum would be a great place to start as well as the Ruger forum. They tend to like and understand the Mini-14 there

I was in that camp until I had problems finding a reasonable reliable hunting semi auto. Get a bar if you must, but If you place the first shot, the follow up shot wont mean much. Wally world has BAR's for 800.00
And remington 7400's for 400.00. EJ

The remington 7400 is a great auto rifle and yea if you make a good first shot the rest dont matter.
