Well put Stubblejumper. Ya beat me to it.

Why so concerned about the impact point at these ranges? Unless you are trying to shoot them in the eye or something it ain't gonna matter.

Here's a link to a ballistic calculator; you'll need to know the B.C., you can get that from the manufacturer. Generally speaking, you're going to be a hair low out to approx. 25 yds (which is approx. where the bullet will cross your line of sight, depending upon what distance you have that rifle zeroed for) and then will be approx. .5" to .75" high at 50 yds.

stubblejumper..

but if i am 10 feet up in a tree and a deer walks almost under me i would like to take a shot at it. i would be looking through my scope down at its back mostly.

I've been to many music concerts, watched many videos on VH-1 and MTV. I've read about singing and music. I know a number of musicians including professionals. I've held a few musical instruments in my day. I have yet to be able to play an instrument and sing a song, let alone give a concert.
You need to get out and recreate different shooting scenarios. A one gallon milk jug is about 6"x8". That is a good representitive size of a deer's vital zone. Place these at different ranges around and under your stand. Shoot at angles and ranges that you'll encounter while hunting. This will show exactly what you and your gun or bow can do. There is no substitute for getting out there and shooting. If you want to make it even more fun, fill the jugs with colored water.
