Are you sick of the "Which deer caliber" Questions yet?
I know y'all are probably sick to death of the which deer caliber is the best, so I won't ask that.
I have a T/C Encoreand I want to buy a rifle barrel just for deer.
I'm not asking the ole "which is your favorite" (At least I'm not trying to sound like that)
I can't decide between the .243, 25-06 or .270
I really don't need anything smaller, I've got a 22-250, and I don't think I need anything bigger, I've got a 300 Win Mag.
I know if I look at their custom shop the calibers are endless, so that is why I stuck with the standard factory offerings.
Thanks for your two cents!

Since you don't reload, go with the 270 Win. Even if you did reload, still go with the 270 Win. One of the deer cartridges around.

Man, that's a hard one. I say it would really intend on what you wanted to do with it. All three are really flat shooting accurate rounds. The .270 would offer you heavier bullet choices I think if you wanted to shoot something bigger. However it would have more recoil as well.
The 270 might be easier to get ammo for as well if you where in the middle of no where. You see it about as much as 30-06 or 308. I wouldn't be afraid to add the .308 to that list either. Except like you said, you already own a .30 cal.
If it were me I would get a .243 just because I have always wanted one. I would have to research the different rounds first to really make a decision, as far as price and performance and availability.

out of your choices i would choose the 25-06. but that's just me. you already have a big gun and a little one so i think that it would fit in there perfectly. plenty of power but you don't have a need for a big bullet since you have a 300wsm.
