Thank you so much for the post. Immediately upon reading it I purchased a new 22-250 and traded in my 223. I am so glad that someone did not see me out there using a 223 for cyotes. How embarrasing would that have been.

I think around here the prefered weapon for yotes is an AR15 variant in 223. A .223 with the correct ammo is PLENTY for a coyote, especially the ones we have around here.
When I think 22-250 I think more along the lines of woodchucks at 300+ yards. I consider it a varmint round, not small to medium game.
If you go to rimfire central though there are plenty taking them down with the 17HMR and .22mags.
I would kind of like to try it with a slug gun myself. I was thinking of shooting some woodchucks with my ML as well.
I like the granade launcher idea myself though.
