Here is a good rule of thumb when living with tough gun laws. If you think you NEED to have a gun somewhere, take it with you. I would rather be caught with it and NOT need it than be NEED it and be caught WITHOUT it.

Unless one were driving to Colorado for an elk hunt. Then the 466 miles of Kansas seems interminable!! NEVER run short of gas in western KS in the early morning-they roll up their sidewalks at sundown, and don't unfold them again until around 9 AM!!
