RE: SEMI AUTO RIFLES ???

I started deer hunting with a Rem 742 Woodmaster. It was a good gun. I changed to a bolt action when I bought a new one. I can shoot it better. My wife first deer rifle was a 7400. She still has it and uses it when we have to go in to the brush and kick them out. (I call the thing the deeromatic.)

I gunsmithing friend of my says that the Browning will last longer than a Remington, because there is a part in the Remington that will wear out. My wife's rifle is around 20 years old and her sister has a 741 that is older and my mother in law deer rifle is a 742 that is over 30 years old and still going.

RE: SEMI AUTO RIFLES ???

Three words about hunting firearms.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

JMO but not sure why any able bodied person would ever need a semi auto gun to hunt big game with. I shot one kill. If your worried about needing a fast follow up then perhaps the first shot your thinking of making is not what it should be.
