Default best factory ammo?

About 40 years ago (how time goes by!) I once asked a dealer who made the best rifle ammo. He said Winchester, hands down. Well, times can change although Winchester ammo has never been a problem for me. What's good out there... good tolerances & quality control?

The only squib I ever fired was CCI 22 round.

I've found Hornady Custom to be very consistent in my 06, 257 bob and 308.

I've always found federal premium to be about as good as it gets.

I agree with these guys. The Hornady and the Federal Premiem are probably the two best factory ammos available.

Another vote for Hornady and Federal premium ammo. When i shot factory ammo those were the most accuratefrom all my rifles.

Federal's Premium and Winchester's Supreme lines are awfully good stuff (and Norma/Weatherby aint bad either!) but I would say that for an "across the board" line IMHO the manufacturer with THE most quality and precision control would have tobe Hornady.

Pull da trigger!

Haven't tried the Hornady stuff, but I agree the Federal Premium and Norma/Weatherby stuff gets my vote for my 300 WBY. It's kinda funny that I've shot the Federal and Norma stuff together in the same bullet weight and had sub 3/4" groups at 100 yards mixing it up!
