A 260 firing a bullet of 120-129 gr. could possibly be the finest all around deer caliber going. Plenty of velocity and accuracy. Light recoil that allows most to be better rifleman than a city dweller that shows up at camp with the newest Heavy mag. to shoot a 150 lbs. deer.

Since I mostly hunt whitetail in the Lower South, a .260 and 6.5mm Swede
is enough for these. Many hunters even use .243.
