Have 2 one in 45/70 & there handi/lite model in 223. There a lill odd looking but shootgood enoughfor me.

I dont know if those basic shotguns( frames) will take the rifle barrels. But the rifles you can buy extra barrels for including shotgun barrels& they dont cost a whole lot. Something you may want to check out before buying the 12 gauge.

I have an H&R 223 Ultra heavy barrel gun. It WILL do 5-shot 1-inch groups with reloads at 100 yards with a 32X scope, but not always. It shoots best after 5 or 6 fouling shots. Ipopped a crow at 120 yards from a deer stand with it. And no, I was not hunting deer with it. I had my 30-06 there for that. These guns usually take about 200 shots to break them in. The trigger is heavy, but has no creep. I enjoy shooting it. People at the gun range are amazed that it shoots as well as it does. Now, my 243 and 25-06 don't shoot as well, but I have not played with them as much.

NEF actually 'feels' solid. I recently bought one in .410 ga for dog training. Haven't shot it yet but don't anticipate any problems. What surpised me is that they can be fitted with different barrels. It was either that or purchase a Rossi but I'll pick a firearm made here over a Brazilian made gun anyday.

I have a Remingtom BDL 7mm Mag that I shot a 3 shot group that you could cover with a dime. I shot a fourth shot and pulled it about 2" out of group.... Needless to say that 4th shot was not pictured in the group:DBut on real time this gun is defently a MOA gun.... I just bought another Rem 300 Mag. And I'm really hoping for 1" or better;)
