i just recived there catolog today and i had lookat there SUB-MOA sereies and i noticed that they only offertwo weahterby catridge loading. for this series and that is the 257 wby mag and 300 wby mag.
the other chambering arethe 223rem 22 250rem 243win 270win 308win 30 06springfield 257 wby mag 270wsm 7mm 300 win mag 300 wby mag 338 win mag.
that alone speaks wonders about weahterby catrdige accuracy. that they cant garuntee the rest to shoot sub-MOA

I dont know about the rest but the .338 mag is a bad bet. I got one new with a garuntee of sub -moa it would not come close. I call weahterby and was told that they would have to send a new rifle to me and they need the cal. of gun I wanted I pick the 300 wby mag great gun.. I ask why they wanted me to pick a diff. cal. and was told to surprise that the only 1 out of 10 .338 mags would hold the MOA.

I would probably guess the real reason is they would get tired ofphone calls from inexperienced "shooters" that aren't skilled enough to shoot tight groups with a 338 and having to exchange a rifle probably not worth the hassle.

If they really stood behind their product, they would not be selling guns that wouldn't live up to their guarantee. They would test them first to ensure that they meet the standard.

I wonder if the average shooter can shoot a hard recoiling rifle, such as the 338, sub-MOA with any regularity. My hunch is that we can't. More small groups are shot on the internet than in the real world.
