BBJ,just curious, 3000fps on .338, does it eat up barrels?

In all of my .338's I ve shot the 180 BLT @ a published 3100 fps and I have never had a problem.
Most of my guns never see 2000 rounds before they are sold or traded for a new toy.
I know guy who shoot 180's alot 2000+ plus 2-3000 various other rounds and their guns are still going strong.
I'm shure if you sat all day shooting you could burn up a barrel,but after 40-50 rounds it's time for me to take a break even shooting 180-200 gr sluggs even less when I shoot 250's.
