can someone please explain to me how to THOROUGHLY clean a gun?
as of right now, all im doing is using foaming bore cleaner, then using the patches, then using remoil and then patches, and thats it.
thats all the manual really says to do, but i know there must be more to it then just that. please describe the process in detail!! (rifle)

Forget that stuff in Hawks article about needing assorted kits/sizes of cleaning rods, etc.
I started out that way too - what a waste of money, etc. Get a Universal Kit from Kleen-Bore. I've got one in the Saf-T-Clad set up with one extension rod. Takes care of all my rifles and handguns. Check 'em out - good stuff.
