I was going to get a Springfield "Loaded Pistol" but I decided to get the Smith & Wesson SW1911! Here it is, what do you think ?

I like the looks of the S&W 1911. I am just to hard headed to buy one. IMHO S&W sold out gun owners & I can not get over that.

I like the Springfield Trophy Match that Rebel Hog posted. I also like Kimber Match pistols.

I myself own a Springfield-XD 40-S&W.
I am looking for a 45 in Springfield match or Kimber match?

As a gunsmith who specializes in the Colt 1911 pistols, I would advise against the Smith and Wesson clone. Poor excuse for a good one - like Kimber, Springfield, Colt, STI, etc. And not all that good a value for the money either.

Roskoe, I'm not a gunsmith and would like your Pros and Cons from the
ones you mention. Why you would consider the Colt over the others?
Give me a selling point as if you were selling me a Colt in your shop.
Not being Smart, I came in your shop and asked to see a Springfield
Trophy Match, now convince me why I should buy the Colt.

Buy the way I have been a Safe & Bank Vault technician for 30yrs and
know all about metals, steel, drills bits, taps&dies and machine shop equipment.

I gotta agree, Colt Kimber or SA.

Here's my SA loaded model, a sweet little gun.

wolf killer, Smith & Wesson is once again a US owned company. I do have to agree with you on the Springfield it's a great gun.

Smith & Wesson did "sell out" to the Clinton Administration. Then the company was sold and the new management told the government that they were no longer going to go by the agreement the previous owners made with the Clinton Administration. And so far they haven't.
