Anybody been out there catching them yet? I haven't made it out yet but was wondering how it was going??

I havent caught a lake erie perch in hmm 15 yrs i think. Some still have 3 eyes /2 tails? j/k <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Did catch one with legs ( once in the nigara river..looked like a bullhead/catfish tho 4 small legs.

I caught one Tuesday. It was about six inches; named him Freddie. I've never seen a fish with three eyes or legs, but catching that gar out of the Maumee River scared me. I was afraid to touch that thing; I'd never seen one before.

The perch fishing is exellent right now. If you are going, try the area around Kelleys island and the Marblehead light house. Pretty much wherever you look right now, you can find some perch. Also, the walleyes and smallmouth are doing well too. Good luck.
