Thanks NYBH the first picture is from somewhere on lake Ontario. For all you warm blooded gents it was -28 far no wind chill.

The smallest fish was 4lbs largest was 11.5lbs. The trip was about 8 years ago we had four days like this. The lucky bugger in the middle caught two over 11 lbs. We caught 8 fish over four days that went over 9.5 lbs. We caught something like 30 fish over five pounds. The ice was so thick that year we had to buy an extension for the auger.

The Second picture is of a 9 7/8 lb walleye caught through the ice on the Susquehanna river couple miles from my house.

Yes, I've fished the Bay. Not in long time however. That's some very intersesting ice isn't it? You can walk out where you were the day before with good ice and all the sudden the ice just cracks under your feet.

Grew up in Belleville on the Bay and there wasn't a year went by where someone didn't go through the ice with a truck, hut, snowmachine, or just walking. very tricky sometimes but world class pickerel.
