[:@] Im Extreamly mad!
I saw people fishing and every fish they caught they kept! They were fishing for striped bass and they kept fish even under a pound skinned them alive and left the remains on the river bank!!! I reported them to DNR and I don't see them fishing anymore so hopefully they stopped. They are dangerious though because they are all from jail. They asked my dad if they met him from spring hill jail... Im sooo angry can anyone share some of the same storys.

I was fishing in the lake near my house and there was a family of 5 fishing for pike. they kept all the fish they cough even though theres a size limit and a limit of 3. not to mention a bait ban, they were using smelts on a walleye rig.

Heres one that really turns my stomach. I seen some kids fishing from the bank when I was putting my boat in the river. They were landing a large channel cat just when I was leaving shore and headed away from them. It looked to be between 15 and 20lbs. I thought they would return it to the river like most people do, wrong. When I returned I found it on the shore with its head busted open from them throwing a large rock on it. Never did see them fishing down there again but I sure wanted to.

Yeah guys, people KEEP fish today. some people dont believe in RELEASING EVERYTHING. Nova, fish can't feel pain, so why should it matter if they were filleted alive? most of the fish we clean are straight outta the livewell, still flopping when i start to work on them. And channel cats are just rough fish anyway. who cares? quit crying over spilt milk

Rough? Dont ppl catch them to eat? Why waste? If there not going to eat it they should thow it back! Theres someone always willing to eat a fish, no matter what the species, another persons trash is someone elses dinner. So called trash fish are part of a balanced eco system.
(channel cats are not a species out of places or introduced ussally - but a part of the system)

As for skinning them alive [] ...so what? Im sure they have pain receptors too. Do they mercy kill a lobster or clam, oyster before boiling him to death, to be more humain?

Im sure they( fish) dont knock each other out or drug each other before they eat each other?

Being human/humain is overrated.

I have no problem w/ ppl taking a few fish to eat. But it gets me sick when i see ppl taking fish either 2 small or taking more than the creel limit. It also get mad when i here storys about that catfish who was smashed w/ a rock, Its a waste of a fish, either take it home and eat or put it back. Oh and 1eyedfish, fish do not feel any pain.

DEERSLAYER...

I have to say that your post was probally the stupidist thing that I have ever read on this website.
Its attitudes like yours and those kids who killed the catfish that give us honest and ethical fishermen a bad name.
I dont care what kind of fish it was, there is no excuse to do something like that.

Only take what the law says you can take and only take that much if your sure it wont go to waste.

I have no problem with people keeping fish to eat. But I see people that will go out day after day and catch their limit and they take them home and most of them sit in the freezer getting freezer burnt and then thrown out. I landed 122 steelhead last year and only kept 15. Alot of those went to people I knew that could not fish anymore and wanted some. I even filet them out before I brought them to them.
Most states have a waistage law when it comes to game animals and fish, if you see such a thing report it. Not doing anything is almost as bad as the one sbreaking the law.
