I have never called any fish a "smallie". In Alabama they are smallmouth bass, a member of the black bass family. Is it a local site, regional, what?? I saw no info on the site attaching it to a particular lake or state or whatever. Looks like a good site, though.

I like catching them out of the Dan river up here. They are a blast, but the real fun is when the white bass run up the Yadkin river.

catching bronzbacks here in tn. is a blast...............i use two lures but depends on how the water is tho, i like to use the rebel wee crawfish & the teeny torpedo & they blast them both its a blast catching 2-4 pounders on a 5'0 UL rod with 4 lb test line cant beat that feelin anytime on a lite setup like that.
