Default looking for a good bass lake this summer

i live in missouri and every year my gpa and my cuz and i go on a weeklong fishing trip.. this one will probably be in mid to late june. we're looking either somewhere west or east of missouri something like illinois, kansas, kentucky.. around there. we've been south to arkansas to bull shoals we stayed in missouri one year and fished at truman and then we went north to canada last year... in canada there was good fishing be my gpa and i both missed fighting small mouths and large mouths.... so we're wanting a lake that has largemouths and smallies would especially be a bonus... any suggestions????

jjoel - I see your from Missouri.I've fished Lake Norfolk,Bull Shoals,White River in Ark.Man you've got some of the best fishin in the country over there.I'd go there every year if it wasn't 1000 miles away!!

Can't think of anything better than where your at.Alot of Great lakes, rivers East of the Mississippi. You might want to try your hand at some good tidal rivers in East or deep south. Many have good smally's,but June is a little late for(good)smally's IMO.I would say if your lookin for best smally fishin think March,April,in nice clean, cool lakes or rivers.Good Luck

Brother, you have one of the best Smallie likes in the country in your backyard.
I'd head to Tablerock this summer if I were you.
You could head to Beaver lake but thats the hardest lake to fish I've ever been on.
