My question is, How can a fish caught 2.5 miles off the caost of North Carolina be a state record for Virginia. If it was caught off of VA Beach or anywhere off the coast of VA I could see it as a record, but NOT off of NC.

I live in Hampton not far from Va Beach and I have not heard anything about the fish. I will check around.

I have a 48" , 42lber at the taxdrmst right now ( delaware bay ) . That thing looks like someone stuck a bag of Ice down its throat
