RE: Sturgeon

I have caught a few of them here in Oregon. the biggest was over 8', I caught it right before dark and by the time we got it to the boat it was VERY dark, but one of the Tugs saw us and pulled up with their spot lights and watched us take turns fighting it. it was huge but we cant keep anything over 6' in Oregon so it was released. My dad has a video of him fighting a 10'er. it jumps out of the water 5 times. they estimated it to weight in at over 350lbs

My dad has reeled those things up in Quebec while fishing for walleye on those lakes he says those Indians gig, snag, and just pull them out of the water. Plus, I was in the area where you'll find those Indians doing it and some of sturgeons are huge.
