I just saw this show for the first time "Bottom Feeders".It said they caught carp to take to New York so that they could be eaten. What do you do with carp(buffalo)?
We just shot them as trash fish in bow fishing tournaments.

Default It's used and is a delicacy

Had a acquaintance years ago who was asked by his landlady, if he ever caught carp on his fishing trips.
He gave me an aside, and said that he was dumbfounded as he threw them up on banks after catching.
So the next trip, he gave the woman two carp. She returned later with fish cakes, cooked by the woman.
They were delicious. In the future he had someone to give the carp.

Just because we don't know, doesn't mean other people don't know.

They just get a bad wrap cause they destroy water ecosystems. They are quit good.

I use to catch them when I was a kid and take them and sell them to the fisheries when I was a kid for $0.32 a pound. They would then sell them to whoever wanted them. The carp had to be over 32# or they didn't want them. There was an old lady that loved getting them from me too.
