I am sorry to hear about your experience.. Have you made a complaint with your state gov. on this? If not, why not? This may very well change the way the charter does things in the future or they may even pull his captain's license. Any businees needs to put safety first let alone it's partrons. By doing this you very well could be saving some folks lives. Taking an over loaded boat out is risky business. Let alone with paying customers. I am sure that they will do thier own investigation into it. Then they will decide on what avenue to persue. You could end up with 100% of your money back from these guys.

This just goes to show that getting a decent charter is the same as getting a decent guide service. Get some refrences and check them out..I hope you have a better trip next time.

I hear that....leases cost 8500.00 in. My area..good hunting down here is as rare as 8 pound bass are in Maine..

So when I found a 1200 dollar lease in our #1 county..I should of..like Phil said, do a research...I should of ask for phone numbers from previous hunters. I'm not even sure the land is this fellows who had the signs written all over him as a meth user..What is the butt kicker..I pride myself on decerning/reading people...a God given 6th sense....I caught this young man in a ton of lies..YET I wanted a place to hunt so bad I OVERLOOKED the obvious...and gave the man the money and 300 extra to set up a pup tent in his back yard...When I changed my mind about camping he got very. Hostile over the phone and did not talk like the Christian he said he was..With more calls and a serious attitude from him...I did get the 300 back....

Lesson..when you have a business deal, it's good to take a second party...because you could want the item so badly that you use bad judgement.Blind-sided
