Default Stuff Happens Thread..

Share with the small crowd here some bloopers you have done that ...you have learned from.

I'll go first...
#1Lesson Learned..don't put too many rods in a jon boat..
I had 8 that day...Matt and I got sidetracked with another boater..He was sharing some grubs with me..I thought I was laying my new Pinnacle Baitcaster on my new Team Diawa down inside the boat..Not one of us 4 people noticed that I carefully laid the rod inside the 20 foot deep pit.We never even missed the rod till 15 minutes later..I tried really hard to retrieve it..but couldn't.

#2..In FLorida...use a live well..do not hang a stringer over the edge of the boat..I was new here and caught a mess of fish.I wasn't sure of the gators as ..I was new back in 1981. So, my stringer is splashing and lo and behold a big gator is heading toward my boat..and fast.I thought maybe he's after something else so I took off...and looking behind me he is still heading toward me and fast..I brought the stringer into the boat and he stopped. About 10 minutes I forgot about the gator and slung the stringer back into the water...and like jaws..he is swimming fast agian toward me..I quickly got the heck out of Dodge and went home. From here on out I use an aerated cooler in the boat. They are not shy when it comes to food.
