Default Braid or flourocarbon??

I have been fishing Weiss Lake for a number of years now and I have used flourocarbon with great results. Im thinking about using braid this year, but I think the bass might see the line and that will cause me to get less strikes.The water color is stained and has sort of a yellow tint to it. The reason I want to use braid is because I am starting to fish grass more often. Last year I used 20 pound Vicous Elite Flourocarbon with good results. I think braid would cutt the grass better and allow me to get a better hookset. I just need some of yalls opinion on this subject.

Braid will cut the grass better and will give you solid hooksets because of the no-stretch attribute of braid. However, if what you are using has given you "great results", then why change?

If you are fishing grass, I assume thick vegetation, braid is a no brainer. Time of year is crucial in this as well, as water clarity is a direct result, although I do not know the specifics of your area.

Depends on how thick the grass is..I always go 10 pound mono or 10 pound flouro P Line...I only use braid if I have to..I'd have to see the structure myself before giving an opinion..They do see the line..and you may get less bites..I only use braid if I have to.

We have many types of grass here...

Eel Grass...mono is no problem..

Kissemmee grass ...mono is no problem

Hyacinths...40 pound braid

Lily Pads...40 pound braid

Cat tails...the edge mono

Cat tails..secondary...20-40 pound braid.

Hydrilla...20-40 pound braid

Pickeral Weed..mono is fine

so..it all depends { -;
