Finally!
After a horrible spring up here we finally got a few walleyes to bite yesterday while trolling out on Green Bay. Just felt like sharing some pictures with you guys.

Now that the water warmed a bit were running crawler harnesses in 8-10 feet of water. They are used almost exclusively around here in the summer and its my favorute way to get them.

Thats what we run here in the daytime as well, crawler harness and snapweights. Once the sun goes down they are useless! Then its time for the body baits. I love watching those offshore boards make a b-line for the back of the boat!!

We have caught a few at night on harnesses but the numbers definitely drop off. We catch most of our fish during the middle of day and especially in the few hours before dark. But, it's still fun to throw some glow sticks on the planer boards and head out in the dark once in a while. Don't gotta worry about smelly sheephead biting at night!

We killed them on Sunday, things are really starting to get good around here now. Landed 26 walleyes, 9 sheephead, a sucker, and a catfish. Kept 13 eater eyes between 15" and 20", released 12 undersized fish and one nice 27". Last year we only had a handful of undersized fish all year so it's kinda nice to see some little guys around.

Wow! Congrats! now thats a good day on the water! Haven't been able to get out here, winds been between 30-40 mph the last few days which really screws the fishing up on Thunder Bay here on lake Huron. Might try drifting the lake by my house this afternoon if it lets up a bit.
