Default Is this boat too much money??

Polar Kraft are top line jons...and so are the Yamaha motors.

Be honest ..what to you all think...I've changed my mind about splitting the bill with Matt..he lives too far away..I was going to let hiim use my 10 foot jon { Keep it at his house.}.and I would keep this boat..for me..looks a little pricey..runs real good the man said..we are taking it on a lake ride this evening.

I would put my Minn Kota on it..long handle..and makes the seats like my jon boat..I post a pic of my 10 foot below..

http://lakeland.craigslist.org/boa/2174479350.html

Here;s the boat I have now..see how I bolted 2 x 4 pressure treated ...to extend the seat toward the front of the boat..I plan to do the same with the 15 footer..I don't want to rush ..there are many nice boats for under 3000.00 but Polar Kraft are HARD to find.PLUS ..worse case scenerio ...if the motor quits...I could take it off and I would just have a big jon boat..looks like I could fish 2 easily out of this..I've had 700 pounds in my jon before..not smart..but Polar Kraft are solid. I like Polar Krafts high sides and solid hulls / floors..no rivots..at least mine doesn't have one rivot..solid hull. The man said it goes 25 MPH.I built the trailor be low myself..the tongue is made of 2 inch galvanized water pipe..the trailor is carpeted ..so the 10 foot jon slides on double thickness indoor/outdoor carpet.

I'll tell you that craigslist ad is a heck of a deal if there are no hidden details. I've heard very good things about Polar Kraft.

The motor itself is around $2000 - $2500 by itself new

I think you have gotten a sweet deal on the 15 footer. The one on I-Boats is located in Ca. Which is a long way away as well as most likely high shipping costs. I think if it was me that was buying it I would want to get one closer to home than Ca.. The 15 footer will also allow you a little more room. I am not real sure on how it will be getting in and out of your hot spots though. As with in most cases more room means more gear will most likely be added. Good Luck on what you decide..

Little rough idol....{ Been sitting for 2 months..} cleared up once we ran it..I drove it first....broke down...used the trolling motor to get back...
problem was simple..the gas hose wasn't snapped into the motor.I backed him back into the lake..He tore the lake up....LOL
I'll sleep on it..there are tons of boats on Caigslist...It's a buyers market..
It's 14 foot...instead of 15...and looks like an ark..super wide..bench seats are 20 inches wide...I could do alot with it..

Depth finder was a good one and worked..trolling motor needed fixed..plastic release was broken..piece of cake..

The boat..like a dag dern ARK..nearly 6 foot across...I may let it pass...An onlooker while he was planing it told me it's a buyers market..I can do better..no leaks..

Yes Sir, it is. I have made a few more modifications to it as well. I will post some pics of it in the next couple of days.
