That makes it better. Braid allows a much quicker hookset. I just wouldn't think to use braid on a lighter rod. Not really sure why.

I use it on most everything and have had good success with it. The only thing I really dont prefer it with is crankbaits (which I dont often use) and and some top waters such as poppers, torpedos, jitterbugs, etc. Basically anything with trebles I leave to mono. I have found that the braid sets the hook fine, but that there isnt enough give in the rod/line and sometimes, not always, the trebles rip free. Whether its bad luck or not enough give, I don't know, but I am more comfortable using mono with baits that utilize treble hooks.

I agree with you guys..I use medium for mono..helps with the stretch process in not breaking off..I use MH for braid and heavy cover..

I separated them last night..for now..I have 5 rods prepared for the jungle..

BUckhunter14 ..my guide is the small one right before the tip.
