Was George Perry' s Bass really that big ?
Does anyone doubt the size of George Perry' s 22 lb 4 oz world record bass caught way back in 1932 ?
I have always doubted that it was really quite that large because...
No pics of the fish is the main reason I doubt it.
No other bass caught in Montgomery lake has approached that size since.
Seems like those genetics should have been passed on to other bass in the lake.
Without a pic of the fish, I will never believe it weighed that much.
Especially for a Georgia bass!
Even though it was a Florida strain bass, they just don' t grow that big in northern Florida. Let alone, Georgia.
What does everyone else think ?
Agree or disagree ?
Yeah, I figure, I might as well stir the pot with the bass fishermen too. LOL.
Sag.

Ill give a little story about the Perry bass (its true.) It was caught during the depression. George Perry and his friend spent their food money on a baitcast setup and a pickie minnow lure. they took turns casting, and George casted to a cypress tree and caught the monster. He wasnt going to weight it, except the friend say a Field and Stream contest and had him enter it. It won. They still ate the bass. By the way, Perry died in 1970' s from a plane crash.
