It was weird..a cold wind came up...and I got nothing for about 1 hour..I went to a point where I lost one yesterday..She bit the same way but this time I landed her..I then went to the middle where the 2 hidden islands were and casted long ways..two more hefty females..and one more on a rock bar.. a shore fisherman named Tom ,,drives a silverish Chevy extended cab caught 3 off the shore using spinerbaits.nice fellow.

All the ones I caught were on black with chartruse tail..6 inch..My battery is being charged but I may stay home..Wife needs me..plus after a day with kids..I get burned out,[ -; 27 more school days,

I doubt it C7, with school finishing up and work starting next week I won't be going on too many big exscursions other than my turkey hunt in 3 weeks. I'd sure love to get up to one of my smallie lakes the first week of June though.

I hope to put up a few fish for the tournament. Went tonight and put about 15 fish in the boat, biggest went 3.5 pounds.

Never even took a picture.... Found two bedded fish, each only about 2 pounds.

The time line for entry is October 1st through April 30, so its really only applicable in the fall through spring, no summertime fish accepted.

Sharelunker encourages anglers who have caught 13-pound-plus largemouth bass to lend or donate the fish to TPWD for spawning purposes.

At the end of spawning season, the ShareLunker will be returned to the angler for live release, or the angler may donate it permanently to the program. Either way, the angler receives a fiberglass replica of the catch made by Lake Fork Taxidermy, ShareLunker clothing, and recognition at an annual awards banquet held at TFFC. In addition, the Texas resident catching the largest entry of the season is awarded a lifetime fishing license.

Its a pretty neat program that definately benefits the fishermen/fisheries/state. I dont believe I will be landing a 13lb bass in my lifetime, but it sure would be nice!

If you fished at Lake Fork you have a big chance..especially using shiners.

Hey guys, Jimmy here - I did catch some nice NH trout on my fly rod over the weekend. Nothing big and all were released.

I'm not a big bass fisherman but at least I answered Chuck's question....

And that is appreciated partner..I still remember your testimony from 5 years ago..Whenever I see your screen name I think about it [-:
and trout...they can't be beat..I'd rather catch a 12 inch trout that I can eat then a 6 pound bass I throw back..I LOVE TROUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Florida has no freshwater trout that I'm aware of.
