Crappie ?????
Okay, next weekend will be my first ever Crappie fishing event, never fished for them before.
What do i do and how do i do it. I have a boat, plenty of lakes, rods and reels but no baits or the slightest idea of what to lbuy or even look for on a graph. Any help would be great
Thanks Miles

Tie on a gold hook about a # 10 I beleive..
About 6 inches above the hook pinch on a tiny split shot..smaller thana BB
Hook a large minnow through both eyes or both lips..
use a small bobber..fish minnow about a foot off the bottom.
Fish in water between 8 and 10 foot deep along islands or brush piles..
Along cat tails in 4 foot of water is fine too...
If you run out of bait you can also use crappie jigs..with a bobber or no bobber..driftng with your minnows..my best are small shad darts..or Hal Flies..{ Which is actually a jig}
I do best when the bait is moving..drifting..about 3 rods at one time..
I actually get more bites on minnows without a bobber..but they are a little more difficult to detect and set the hook..
