RE: tube jigs..

im just getting into tubes also. i had my best luck on a smoke colored with red glitter...intimidator tubes i think...anyways, on my first cast, i started bouncing it off the bottom. i felt a tap and jerked back. coulda swore i had hooked into a snag. i felt it coming up, i had a big ole 40" muskie on. we almost had him in when he rubbed the line on teh bottom of the boat. for the last coupla months, they have been taking the small stuff. im thinking im gonnna get muskie size tubes for heavy fishing.

Good bait. These can be used all yr but still at times there are better baits to use. I hook mine Texas style generally except when fishing rock bars and drops w/o wood. Then I used a lead head. I ALWAYS put at least a 1/16 oz weight as either a bullet sinker or as the jig head. The weight " makes the bait work" as it is intended. My favorite color is usually watermelon with red and green flakes.
