How do you hold your baitecaster while reeling in your baite?

I like to keep my finger under the line while reeling in the baite.

i used to hold mine similar to yours, but for some reason, i retreated from doing it that way and now I hold it similar to yours, but with my pointer finger resting in contact with the underside of the pole. Dont know why, but i just started doing it recently, no ryme or reason though.

I would just want to do it the easiest way possible.. LOL, I would just grab it with one hand and swing that lure out there. At the same time my lure would start heading out I would like to let go of the rod as well. The lure will at least have some sort of company any ways...LOL

LOL you guessed it..and this is my favorite baitcaster...President by Pflueger...I have two of them...If I knew I would be going to Missouri this year to hunt..I would not have been so foolish..
