Default Got my motor running ..again..

Been a nightmare..
Here's the summary.

A.2005 Bought a brand new 4 HP Nissan 1060.00
The gas tank was broke in the box.
Dealer ..very nice..gave me a portable tank to use while mine came in.

B. After a week..engine started stalling

C. I went to pick up my new inline tank..The dealer IN MY FACE
"You were driving too fast in my parking lot" no sir I wasn''t
Real close in my face.." That tank wasn't a loan.."you owe me money." sur ehow much...I may let it go..I watch him get something off the grinder..and then..I can't beleive my eyes ..thinking..is he putting that metal dust in my tank??

D. "There ..I'm finished.." so I left..

E. Engine never ran right..so I left it in the corner of my garage..sure I called Nissan..I had no proff.] -:

F. My super smart stp dad from Maryland encourages me."SOn, you can fix that motor..take the carb off and clean out both jets..started but didn't keep running..

G. I bought another Carb.220.00..same thing started and stopped within 4 minutes..

H.Called another Nissan dealer..about a coil..they said the Nissan coils rarely quit..and if they did..the engine wouldn't strt period..
they said..it may be the fuel pump.

I.Called dad..said..take it off..what can it hurt..it was filled with metal dust } - : RIP OFF!!

J. I ordered one..including shipping 88.00

K.Put it on today..purrs like a kitten..so now I have some other lakes I can fish..

What a trial..I pray God will forgive the man..back before I was a Christian..I'd be gettin even and then some.

I am sorry to here about your nightmare C7, I hope it continues to run for you.. I have been wanting to wirebrush my alluminum boat down for a paint job to stop some rivets from leaking. I haven't been able to because of rain. It has been the worst June on record up here. Same thing so far this month as well rain, rain, and mor rain..it just doesn't want to go away. we did have 2 days so far that has barely topped 80 degrees.. I am hoping the weather will change but it doesn't look that good for it right now anyways.. I did take my carb apart on the boat motor and the float needle was stuck. I got that all working and can't wait to get it painted and out in the water..

That float needle was difficult for me..it fell out I wasn't sure which was it went in..My step dad is the best mechanic I know..serous;y He is sharp..He lived through the Great Depression where they had to fix everything

Anyway..I called him and he relieved my worries by saying," There is no wrong way yo srtick the float pin in..the groves are there to help hold it in place..he told me aboput the jets and how to clean them..BE CAREFUL that carb cleaner doesn't get in your eyes..some bad stuff man..

Now the fuel pump..diffeent story..it runs off the cam shaft...when takin apart..theres a whole bunch of diaphrams and crap pressed together..I just shook my head and ordered a new one..I saw the metal crap all through there appearing to puncture the diaphram.

That sounded like the feul pump was your problem to me.. I take it apart every once and a while to cleen it up. Those diaphrams look worse than they are.. However if any holes in them then they are done for. I am not so sure where you would pick up the metal fillings in it though.. That one has me puzzled. Do you use an old metal gas tank? It would be IMO that or you cam wearing down some..
