oh yeah..{ -: the jig is nice to work when..

You are fishing live bait for bluegills and are waiting for a bite..
or when your freind is using a worm and you have time to chat and relax
or when you want to act like a Pro..and fish ultra slow and cover one spot real good

My son always laughs when I use it..it doesn't usually work..so I use it just to show him that it does work LOL BUT here lately I've hung up on a good fish on every outing,,not alot of fish but something always takes it..eventually..
For the rest of the tourny..It will be used alot..along with Horny Toad...Chrome D.D Crankbait and SHiners..I'm still after a 10 pounder before the tourny is over.
I don't think rubber worm is going to catch a 10..The bass have been educated on the rubber worm..Yesterday while I was catching 1 1/2 to 2 pounders on a jig..another boat.very close was bumping a worm..His bass were all 12 inchers..

Chuck, we hit the lake this weekend an it was hot here in Texas. We did catch a lot of fish, but they were all deformed (heads too close to their tails). I don't know how many we caught had to be at least 75 between the three of us. None worthy of a picture.

I was really happy with the jig..
The way I fish it..find structure.
Cast..and move it slow simply tickling the bottom..extremely slow..many of my bites I believe were bluegills...
Do not let those little taps fool you. Some of the biggest fish will hit like small minnows when they are not real active. I have caught some really nice fish on just those small little taps..

I hear that..time for a quick story...{ -:

I was flipping cat tails with a neighbor during the spawn a few years ago..We caught quite a few..mostly small ones..I was in the front of the boat..had a tiny tap..missed it and said," OK Kevin, you can have that one." Kevin put his worm right where I had it..tiny hit..Kevin set the hook and lo and behold it was a GIANT BASS..She must have been a 10 pounder..we were only in 3 foot of water..The fight seemed to go on forever..the bass pulled the jon boat around and finally we saw her thick upper body and head above the water ..she was exhausted..Kevin's 6 " black worm with red tail was in her mouth and hook set perfectly. She was about 8 feet away and stuck in the pads..I stretched the net out as far as I could ..only lacking about 10 inches..we watched her sandpaper like teeth going back and forth against Kevin's 10 pound trilene mono..and then the line went limp...and in slow motion the fish goes backwards..Kevin's mouth is open wide saying NO !! NO !! NO!! my fish MY FISH!!! I said., "Kevin .if it was me.I would have gone in the lake for that one."

By the way...this is Kevin my neighbor..Here he is with a 4 pounder..he's mad at me a little right now because I took Matt fishing Friday instead of him.BUT hey blood is thicker than water..{-:
