Default Its raining, should I go ahead and fish anyways?

I was planning on hitting up my new spot today on lunch again, but it just started raining cats and dogs. I dont mind getting wet, but is it worth it to fish in the rain. I know the barometric pressure will send fish into a frenzy or static stand still depending on the situation, so I'm unsure whther or not I should attempt to fish. I have 2 hours until I would go fishing, and the rain just started, so I have a few questions.

1. Will the fish most likely be in a feeding frenzy, or is that only before the rain actually arrives?

2. The rain clouds are sporadic, and I will have off and on showers throughout the day, but not continually. Because of this, is the barometric pressure constantly changing, or does it remain fairly constant just because there is rain in the area?

3. What would you do?

I went fishing. I had two solid hookups, and two missed hookups. Both solid hookups were lost at the boat. The last 5 bass I have hooked solid have come off the hook at the boat. This is driving me NUTS!!! I'm literally ready to throw the fishing rod and reel in the water im getting so mad. Its just depressing never being able to land one, especially when you see them come to the surface and you know a few are large. ARGHHHHH!!! Im getting to the point where i want to let the fish run around a little bit before bringing him to the boat because i know once i get him to the boat he will magically dissapear (j/k not that desperate yet, but getting there ).

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong guys?

It's very frustrating..I'm catchin gmost of mune now Aaron like this..

I use the 4/0 Gazma hook ..straight shank worm hook...the bend of the hook is as far back as I can get it not messing up the toad..

I use a 7 foot ...for leverage...medium rod..{ Because on the horny I set her hard when it's time to set the hook..and don't want to break off}
I''ve broke off 3 times this year using medium heavy..

I use 20 pound Power Pro Braid or 12 pound Ttrilene Mono..the med. 7 foot absorbs alot of the shock so SET HARD

ok...
A..squish squish squish pause

B. BOiL

1} I'm relazed...no big deal..I've caught a few thousand bass..plus I don't drink coffee..{ -' or sodas..Mr. Mellow here..

2} I'm watching the line..same time my arms are extended toward fish

3} Inside there's a conversation going on with me and the Lord.{ Being serious here} I'm saying "When?" ,,I hear .."Now"
4." Unlike the pull set you may not feel the fish..so I'm going for the straight line..Braid has no stretch so a good ovr the head hook set should meet with fish.

C. anyway ..on the "Now" my arns are nowat a 45 degree angle toward my chest..and I use my forearms and chest to give a good solid set..

D. most of the time..it's fish on and boated..

Glad watermelon is working for ya..I'm running short on funds so I have about 15 watermelon left..Should get me through till archery season..
God bless,
Chuck7
