i used to LOVE the mini spinner baits...forget what size..but they were smaller than your typical spinner baits...

i dont think ive ever owned a full sized spinner bait...i tried the smaller ones and man, i crushed some bass...when i bass fished

Chuck do you use a light or a heavy rod for those light spinnerbaits?

Theres not much to fishin one I doubt your doin anything wrong, You should try a spinnerbait they really work, (not a rooster tail, road runner etc..)

6 1/2 foot Lightning Medium
10 pound monofilament Trilene clear..
Once I tightened up the drag..nearly no misses
The hit is a little different than a Rooster Tail .
A Rooster tail feels like you've run into a telephone pole..These mini spiiner baits feel like your hung up on weeds..Now when I feel weeds..I lock in on em..

Well I,m back...2 hours later..[8D]

Terminator.. I don't like the vibration from the Indiana blades..it makes the bait run a little sideways..0 fish

Booyah...The blade is too small for the bait..the weeds actually would stop the blade from turning..0 fish

Strike King..looked very nice in the water still nothing,0 fish

Back to the one I found..there is no name brand on the blades..It's a tandem bladed spinner ..probably 3/16th and I boated 5 with it..wish I knew what kind it is,...I'm not really sure..I do think I will put a Strike King willow blade on the Booyah bait and that should fix it.

Next I am gonna talk you out of fishing that Heddon Torpedo and into other top water lures. Frogs, like Phil said, a Bang-O-Lure, and walk the dog baits.

Booyah's make a really nice Buzzbait with a clacker on it too, and that is what really sells the bass on it for me. I also like a full size spinnerbait, as the quality improves. Hawg Callers is what I used to fish when I went to a full size bait. 4 Blades and 1/2 oz I believe, Dad caught a 7.5, two over 6, and one over 5 one day in the Pamlico river during the spring, all on that bait.

Keep at what is working chuck, you are killin' them right now. Is there much size to them yet?

NO ..if there was.. I'd be posting them on the tourny.

I got frogs,,,1/2 ounce spinner baits as well Brent..boxes of stuff..Where I fish at is pressured so I gotten finesse them..biggest fish I got this year on a spinnerbait is just under 3 pounds..Most spinnerbaits are in a V shape 45 degree angle..the one that is working is is about a 90 degee angle..I really can't believe the fish are taking it..I was also throwing a buxxbait and rubber worm..Only this one particuliar spinnerbait has been working.

Thanks for the feedback..

Also,,,I'm finally seeing big boils on the shoreline and the bass I'm catching are full of roe..I'm thinking they are spawning late this year..I 'm not sure..I have caught spawners this late before ,,it's rare but it does happen
