Good Luck catching some fish, even if you don't it's great to get out and enjoy some of the great outdoors with a few friends..Splake i can not say as I like eating them. But they are still fun to catch..

That's what I am thinking right now.. Crazy is saying it nicely.I have a patch from Maine's One That Didn't Get Away Club on white perch and hope to get one this year on lakers. I lost a monster at the ice hole last year after fighting it for about 20 minutes. The eight pounder I caught for a laker tasted pretty good though right off the grill..My longest white perch has been 16 inches but I never weighed it. I did catch a 2 pounder at 15 inches and that was the one that gave me my patch..

A splake is a hybred cross between a brook trout and a lake trout. They are said to not be able to reproduce so they are put and take fishing..Though some splake can get really big if allowed to grow.
Here is a pic of one I caught 2 years ago.. I do not care for eating them after catching a few to try..
