RE: easier way to kill fish

Kill em while they wiggle, I have done it many times and I feel no remorse for fish, mainly because they taste so good. They dont flop that bad. If ya want to get broken in on cleaning live fish all you have to do is come with us grouper fishing, we clen upwards of 40 fish straight off of the bottom for bait and then we have around 30 more to clen when we get back to the dock.;)

Though I cannot speak for any other state here in Maine, any fish added to your creel must be killed at once. You can club it, stab it with your knife
or any other way you choose to. Here the way most choice to kill them is as mentioned before by breaking the part under and behind the gills. By doing this you actually cut the supply of blood and air going into it's heart. Withing a few short minutes the fish is dead. Good luck on the way you choose.

I leave my fish in a pail over nite and by the time Im ready to clean em, their dead anyway. man you must have some pretty tough fish, try fil.ling the pail just enough to keep the fish submerged. they may be getting too much o2 from the water.
