2008 Is just around the corner, whens the sign up start???

What are the rules? And is this just a largemouth tourney?

We have big smallies but I don't fish for bass w/out a boat and for the last 10yrs I haven't fished for bass at all. Hook and line only on my part

i agree with the artificial rule. Every single bass tournament I've ever fished in has been artificial only. And if we set rules, we need to stick with them. No changing the end dates, no changing pic requirments, etc. If you dont follow the rules, theres no point in having them at all. But all that said, I wont be running it this year, dont have the time between work and the 30 or so tournaments I'll be in this year.

Josh, if you pm me the details of how you did it last year, i will run it this year. I agree on the artifical as well, that can be rule number 1.

Last year.s rules allowed live bait..so 1/2 the time I used live bait..If live bait wasn't allowed , I would not have used it..The entire thing was supposed to have been for fun..It can never be totally fair because we fish at different lakes , at different states and at different spawning seasons.

There was absolutely no reason for some of the attitudes portrayed last year and I doubt if I will ever fish another.
Like I said..if live bait wasn't allowed I wouldn't of fished it ..and to show sportsmanship conduct I wouldn't use it against the final month against my felllow northerner..

C7, I have never said anything negtive about you using live bait last year, the rules allowed it so fine, alls well. You are right in different people fish different lake on different times so it will be unfair to some, but this is a fun contest so you should fish next year with us

I only had problems with one fisherman..sorry if I implied there were more...please forgive me.

I love fishing..The only problem I had was the different month segments..I'd rather have a one time ..big fish win from Feb..- till whenever ...The Florida spawn starts in Feb and last till early April .Rubber baits is all that is needed. I'd love to fish it butI certainly hope it can be a clean contest..without any negative comments..Last year the moderator for the first time had to get involved..
