Hey guys, just wondering when it's prime muskie fishing time? I'm new to muskie fishing, so do you go by water temp? Weather? or time of year?
I know prime time is coming up soon but I also go hunting and need to manage my time properly to make the best of it.
I don't shotgun deer but bow hunt them, so will it be good muskie fishing duringthe timefrom Nov. 16th to Dec. 2nd?

Not sure where you are from or what your season dates are but here in WI musky season closes on NOV.31 but right now until the end the toothie ones are on the move... I have been looking alot on the muskyfirst site and they are really starting to wack em all over the place in WI and MN... Right now the hottest bait out their is a double cowgirl, depending what water clarity you are fishing should dictate your color... My favorite is a black with 2 silver blades, or black with orange blades... The bulldogs are working too.... Good luck and right now till it closes is a great time to be water hogging.... A new VA state record was caught this year, it was 45 lbs. and 53" long (hope I didn't mix the #s up)

pyclub1, where are you in WI? I was snowshoe hare hunting in Northern WI this past March and we'll be coming back soon, man it was a blast!

Right now! The muskys are storing up fat to survive the the winter. Any fish you catch right now will be FAT.

Where you at in WI, I have 2 friends that have cabins in Northern WI.

I am inchippewa falls WI, but I have a cabin in Cornucopia WI.. I am going snowshoe hunting this weekend, My good buddie is coming up and staying with me for the weekend and is bringing his beagels... Cant wait will be a good time.. Just got a fresh snow yesterday and are supposed to get another fresh drop on thur. night into fri.. Should be a blast..
