Kastmasters, red and blue or chrome.. You will have a blast with trout without a doubt.. I find them more deadly than spinners when it comes to trout and cast further also..They wobble back and fourth when retrieved.

Sometimes I use them as well only in the copper or brass color as bright light can bother some trouts eyes and they do not react to them so good. Also I will add a piece of worm to the back of it for a trailor..

If the water temp is that high the fish are probably in a bit of distress that is pretty warm for trout. The waters ability to hold oxygen goes down as temperature goes up until eventually all the trout will die. Hope the water cools down.
Exactly, So if you are gonna keep the ones you catch, then have it. If these are wild trout and you are just catching them for fun and releasing (as many trout fisherman do) it's actually probably best to leave them alone until the water cools down. Catching them in 70 degree water will probably kill them. Sounds like the dam repair is having a direct impact on those fish and as soon as things normalize again, the fishingwillbe in a more healthy environment for them. Sounds like they are congregating in the "holes" because of the low water.
