An all-purpose lure?.....It would be a Red and White Daredevil or Al's Goldfish.
I fish almost exclusively with flies but I remember those days when it seemed everything hit either one of those lures....

my favorite lure for everthing would be a silver spoon
but a close second would be a 1/4 ounce jig with a pumkinseed 4 inch twister tail
