Default Jointed rapala diver..

I saw an awesome looking jointed rapala deep diving lure yesterday at Wally World. 7.00 was a little steep for me.Has anyone ever tried one of these before for bass.? They are paintedto perfection.

I use them to target Tiger Muskies. Just as often a nice LM will take it instead. Like most Rapala lures they are great.

I may have to get a couple..they looked really sharp..I think that extra wobble just might produce a strike..even in a pressured lake..

Yep - We call them "Broken Backs".I have 4-5 large and small Rapala's and Rebel Broken Backs.Great in mid summer around pads and hard cover.I fish em slowww and twitch and then dive a little, maybe swim a little.I glued the google type eyes on my big Rapala broken backs. Those eyes drive em Nuts!

Rebel also makes a good Broken Back and a little cheaper.

BTW - thru the years I've found these Rapala's seem to work better after they've faded out a little - more natural I guess.Same with some of the gawdy bright lookin crank baits.

Hey AJ,
Appreciate the feedback. I've fished with the floating broken backs before but I've never seen those new deep diving jointed ones before. The paint jobs are awesome and they dive about8 - 10 feet deep. They really look hot.

Chuck - Whoops - wrong Rapala

Don't think I've ever seen the 8-10 jointed divers.I've always been a Huge Rapala user. I've lost about $15 in Rapala's this spring to Pickeral[:@]
