I had you in mind when I posted this. I know your wife likes to fish too so we need somehting bigger than a jon. I looked in the paper today and saw a couple of sweet deals. My wife said if I pay 50% she would go the other 50.% I have 1200 saved.

chuck when you see the btIII i bought, and what we gave for it and what we'll have in it, you'll be amazed, the thing has a brand new 50 hp mercury with tilt and trim, when i asked what they wanted for it they said 500 hundred bucks, and i said questioningly 500$, and they said alright 350 but thats as low as we'll go, i gave'em 400 and i'll/we'll have less than 1k in it;):D, ah life is good;)

you'll find one, it may be like this one, in the weirdest place, but there are some deals out there, i would have bought this one for the motor[&:], i'll try to post pic's ofit tonight or tomorrow;)

but i'm still kickin my rear-end over the other one i let get away[&o], i need another small water rig, the wife has given me the Ok, i'm just tooo tight, always looking for "the deal" if you know what i mean:eek:

BTW, wait till the worst time of the year to buy;), of course ya'll don't have a bad time of year for fishing;), ibet you havent knock ice out of guides since you've lived in florida

Gosh Chuck, the Counselors here in county jails start @ $40,000 and all they have is a 4yr degree in Sociology.:)

My only advice is to get the MAX hp motor you can put on the boat. Those bass trackers are notoriously underpowered.

Thanks everyone for your replies..I'll keep my eyes opened up MT..

Josh,the jon boat I have now is way under horsepowered..my 4 horses is too small for me.:)I should have gotten a 9.9;)
Anyway...I'm focusing on a Bass Tracker..there are 3 in the paper right now.

Reb, Hillsborough County is ahead of Polk County in all of their paying jobs it seems. Some of our teachers have transferred to teach down there. All of the counties in FLorida pay a little different.

That's why I've not updated my truck, boat or bow...I've learned to be happy with what I've got. My wife would like a change and sows those seeds in my heart..like ...every night.[8D] But in reality ...the change usually should be made inthe heart ,,,not by physically relocating .

I have a 25 Merc pull/recoil start.Have used many older 60/70's 40hp pull starts but haven't seen one in years.When you get into 25/40 hp best have a well tuned motor that kicks on 2-3 pull.When they get a little cranky/flooded they can wear you out after 8-10 pulls.

thats for sure, the BT'er i had was offered by BPS with a 25HP[&:], i put a 70hp on it[:-];)
