Default Homemade fire pit for icefishing!(UPDATED!)

Yes another homemade thing for fishing by me. I found myself at work with some spare time and some scrap metal and i decided to make myself a small little fire-box type thing, for when im out on the ice and would like to enjoy a fire since your not allowed to have a fire right on the ice. Its big enough to fit a couple pieces of lumber laying around and some small poplar and pine we got, not gunna get no bonfire out of it but its enough to sit by and keep the hands and rump warm if your doin some night fishing. One thing i didnt think of untill i got home was to make a rack for it so i can cook some food on it while im out there but that will be my next lil project when i find my self with spare time.

Umm hate to break it to yah but in alberta you cant thats why i made it cause i too live in Alberta and they dont allow it cause the burnt wood and ashes are toxic to the water or fish therefore your not allowed to have a fire on the ice, unless it is in a container and raised up off the ice.

Not a bad looking thing ya got there. I don't know if I'd use it, Probably have to chop the tires up real small for them to fit in there.
